The total value of banks accounts can be important when dealing with your loved one's assets.

There will be a threshold that each bank has preset to determine how they will allow you to finalise and close your loved one's bank accounts. This varies significantly between banks and will determine whether a Grant of Probate (or Letters of Administration) will be required to access and distribute the funds.
